The cookies and local storage Karu uses, and why.

This policy explains the small amount of data Karu by Kapruka stores on your device when you use www.karu.guru. We keep this to what the service needs to work. Karu does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
1. What we store on your device
- Session cookie
- One secure, signed, http-only cookie that identifies your account (guest or saved) and keeps you signed in. It is essential, the service cannot work without it, and it cannot be read by scripts in your browser.
- Local storage
- Your app preferences (such as your chosen language and some layout choices) are kept in your browser's local storage, so the app remembers them next time.
2. What we do not use
- We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party marketing pixels.
- We do not sell data gathered from cookies.
3. Why these are needed
The session cookie is what lets Karu hold your chats, cart, and account without asking you to sign in every time. Because it is essential to the service, it is always on while you use Karu.
Local storage keeps your preferences so the experience feels consistent.
4. Managing what is stored
- Clear local data
- From Account, then Your data, the Clear local data action removes your stored data, including your chats, cart, orders, and saved details. This cannot be undone.
- Browser controls
- You can clear cookies and site data from your browser settings. If you remove the session cookie, you will be signed out and a new guest session will begin on your next visit.
5. Third-party services
When Karu works with Kapruka (for products, payment, and delivery), Kapruka may set its own cookies under its own cookie policy. The same applies to any provider whose page you visit through a link.
6. Changes and contact
